Q&A: Does God's omnipotence and love require universal salvation? — No; free will and divine glory in judgment are countervailing factors

Limited Atonement, Universalism and why I disagree with both. 00:40:33 – 00:43:07

Viewer asks whether God's attributes logically entail that he must save everyone.

Winger rejects the framing of sinners as 'sick children' — a non-biblical softening. Sinners are those living in open wickedness. God's love is expressed in providing atonement for all and giving them the free choice to receive it; overriding free will is not the only loving option. Additionally, God is glorified through just judgment of the wicked — a purpose alongside salvation. Winger agrees with Calvinists here: God's glory in judging wickedness is a legitimate divine purpose.
