Romans 8:29-32 and the golden chain of redemption used to argue for limited atonement

Responding to Calvinist Arguments for Limited Atonement 00:33:31 – 00:37:06

Mike summarizes the Calvinist use of Romans 8 to support Trinitarian harmony / limited atonement.

Romans 8:29-30 presents a "golden chain": foreknown → predestined → called → justified → glorified. Calvinists argue this is the same exclusive group for whom Christ died (v.32: "gave him up for us all"). The inclusive statement (he died for us) is treated as exclusive (he died for only us). Mike acknowledges a largely Calvinist reading of foreknowledge can be granted while still denying that Romans 8 teaches exclusivity in the atonement.
