Application of atonement through faith is not a "secondary act of atonement"

Responding to Calvinist Arguments for Limited Atonement 01:21:50 – 01:23:25

Mike responds to the Calvinist rhetorical slogan that non-Calvinism requires a second atonement act.

Calvinist slogan: if salvation requires believing (a secondary act), then the cross was insufficient — "it is finished" is undermined. Mike's response: the application of a finished work is not a second act of atonement. Even Calvinists agree the application happens at regeneration by the Spirit — that is also a secondary act in time. Calling application "a second act of atonement" is inconsistent with Calvinist theology itself.
