"World" in 1 John 2:2 refers to people, not structures — and "our sins" parallels individual people

Responding to Calvinist Arguments for Limited Atonement 01:21:17 – 01:22:00

Rebutting a possible Calvinist reading of kosmos as referring to world systems.

A suggestion in White's video is that "world" could refer to world structures or organizations. Mike replies: Christ died for the sins of the world, and sins are committed by people, not structures. The parallel is "our sins" (people) and "the sins of the whole world" (also people). The referent must be human beings, not abstract world systems.
