Second meaning of pluralism: no religion works, but everyone ends up with God anyway — hidden personal religion
Winger dismantles the second interpretation of "all roads lead to God"
If one means "all religions are wrong but everyone goes to heaven anyway," consequences include: (1) Hitler is fine in eternity, unrepentant of mass murder — what kind of heaven is that? (2) The pluralist is actually saying everyone's beliefs are wrong, which is the opposite of tolerance. (3) Hidden within pluralism is a secret personal religion — ask the pluralist "where are we going?" and "what are the requirements?" and they will begin constructing a religion in real time, from private imagination rather than public revelation. This makes pluralism hypocritical and self-refuting: the pluralist thinks he is right and everyone else is wrong, just like the Christian — but without evidence.
