Matthew 28:18-20 — baptism follows discipleship/belief, not precedes it

A Biblical Analysis of Infant Baptism 00:05:39 – 00:07:13

Winger examines the Great Commission to establish the pattern for baptism in the NT.

The Great Commission commands making disciples, baptizing them, and teaching them. The "them" refers to those among all nations who respond positively to the gospel. Some argue making disciples must precede baptism, but Winger says a person becomes a disciple the moment they trust Christ — so belief and baptism are tightly linked. Baptism is a response to faith.
