Further analysis of Acts 2 to show baptism requires comprehension and reception of the gospel.

Verse 41: "those who received his word were baptized." Receiving the word implies cognition — understanding and accepting the message. Infants cannot receive the word in this sense. The principle is not "not infants" per se but "believers" — those who positively respond to the gospel. This is the consistent NT pattern.
