Addressing the case where scholarly or empirical evidence seems to contradict Christian faith

If an archaeologist or textual critic claims evidence contradicts the Spirit's witness, the Christian is warranted in trusting God over that scholar — not as blind faith, but because God is more knowledgeable and more trustworthy than any human expert. Blind faith by contrast would have no witness of the Spirit and no evidence at all.
