Christians are not under the Mosaic Law including the Sabbath; they are under the law of Christ and walk by the Spirit

20 Questions with Pastor Mike (Episode 1) 00:52:34 – 00:56:07

Question from Cetl P about why Christians do not keep the Sabbath even though it is in the moral law and written by God's finger on stone.

Mike's position: Christians are not under the Law of Moses as a whole — he does not selectively apply pieces of it. He distinguishes what God holds all nations accountable for (natural moral law, known apart from Torah) from what is peculiar to the Mosaic Covenant (given to Israel). Being written on stone by God's finger does not mean it applies to Gentile believers in Christ — that logic does not transfer the audience. Christians are under the law of Christ, which emphasizes the inward transformation: love, joy, peace, patience, etc. (Galatians fruit of the Spirit) and avoiding the works of the flesh. He references two older teaching videos on how to understand OT law.
