Timing argument: blessings purchased at the cross are not all present realities — healing is partially now, fully later

20 Questions with Pastor Mike (Episode 4) 00:07:10 – 00:10:43

Disagreement with hyper-charismatic "claim healing now" theology, despite agreeing healing is in the atonement.

Mike lists benefits purchased at the cross that are not yet fully realized: eternal life (we still die), no pain/sickness/suffering (Rev 21), total victory over Satan, and a resurrected glorified body. None of these is a present complete reality. Healing falls in the same category — sometimes a present reality, always a guaranteed future reality. He challenges hyper-charismatics for selecting healing as a present entitlement while ignoring other cross-purchased benefits (e.g., no one prays for a glorified body right now). The pattern is: present "down payment" via the Spirit, future full realization.
