Influence is not the same as eldership — a governor has massive influence but is not your church elder

Mike has more influence than most church elders but is not an elder at any church. You would not submit to him the way you submit to your church elders. Voting for a governor grants massive influence but not eldership qualification. These are different categories that egalitarians are conflating.
