Evangelism through good works must be coupled with verbal proclamation of the gospel

20 Questions with Pastor Mike (Episode 9) 00:58:44 – 01:00:15

Question from Samuel Nelson about extravagant mission trips vs. evangelizing by acting good in the world.

Acting good in the world and verbal gospel proclamation are not mutually exclusive — both are necessary. Good deeds alone cannot convey the informational content of the gospel; people won't know about Jesus unless told. The two must be combined. Mike affirms the importance of lifestyle witness but insists on the irreplaceability of verbal proclamation.
