If you think anyone with a teaching gift should be in a teaching ministry position, you are wrong. The elder requirement 'able to teach' is a minimum threshold, not a sufficient condition. Not everyone who can teach is an elder — from among those who teach, elders are selected based on additional criteria. 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 give those additional factors, which Mike believes include being male (covered in video 4).
