No single biblical form of government; Christianity fits any system through principles
Question about biblical support for monarchy and the Christian attitude toward it.
Mike argues the Bible does not mandate a specific form of government. It gives principles (justice, equal enforcement of laws regardless of wealth or race) that can be expressed in various systems. Israel's theocracy was unique because God literally gave the law — no modern nation can replicate this without a human pretending to be God. True theocracy must await Jesus's return. Christians should honor whatever governing authority they are under while pressing for just governance. He criticizes the US court system for favoring the wealthy through unequal legal representation.
