Walking on eggshells around an easily angered person should be motivated by wisdom, not fear

20 Questions with Pastor Mike (Episode 17) 01:21:15 – 01:22:47

Question from Taylor Paris about dealing with someone who is easily angered

There is a healthy and an unhealthy way to adapt to an angry person. Healthy: wisdom that avoids unnecessarily provoking them (not throwing fuel on the fire). Unhealthy: living in fear of that person, which is oppressive and not honoring to God. The distinction: wisdom says "I will not trigger the fool in their folly"; fear says "I am terrified of them." Aim for the former, avoid the latter.
