Ephesians 1:13 speaks of believers being "sealed with the promised Holy Spirit" as a guarantee of the inheritance. Mike distinguishes this sealing from Old Testament empowerment — it is relational and permanent, not task-based. Romans 8 describes believers crying "Abba Father" by the Spirit. Jesus told the disciples the Spirit is "with you" but will be "in you" — that shift occurs at Pentecost onward.
