Righteous living protects believers in concrete ways. He observes that seasons of doubt are frequently tied to seasons of sin — guilt over sin creates spiritual vulnerability. 'If you are struggling with doubt and struggling with sin, deal with the sin — that might deal with the doubt.' Living consistently with your faith is a genuine protection against spiritual attack.
