Shoes of the Gospel of Peace — evangelism as spiritual protection
Third piece of armor: footwear as readiness to go with the gospel.
Ephesians 6:15: 'as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.' Shoes protect the feet from the road and indicate where you go. Having the posture of an evangelist — wanting people to know Christ, not hiding your Christianity — protects believers from compromises, because people who claim to be 'just doing life with people' without ever sharing the gospel often practice a form of self-righteousness and drift spiritually. Evangelism keeps your feet clean.
