Winger says he was formerly a young-earth creationist but good exegetical arguments (not science) have made him reconsider. He is now open to old-earth readings of Genesis 1-2 but has not finalized his view. He plans to spend a research season studying the women-in-ministry passages and Genesis origins, producing thorough teachings on each topic, even at the cost of fewer views.
