Sonship benefit #4: Internal relationship with God through the Holy Spirit

Fourth benefit: the Holy Spirit enters men and women alike. Galatians 4:6-7: 'Because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying Abba, Father. So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.' Believers share in Jesus's intimate 'Abba' relationship with the Father. This is connected to baptism — circumcision was only for Jewish males, but baptism is entirely inclusive (men, women, Jew, Gentile, slave, free).
