Luke 16:10-13 reframes the parable: the master is money itself — be a faithful steward so God controls you, not money

The closing verses give the parable a different flavor: the manager sacrifices his master's wealth for his own future. Jesus applies this by saying money can be your master. Christians should give that mastery to God — donate, support ministries, targeted evangelism — so that money does not control but God does. Faithful stewardship in small things leads to being trusted with greater things.
