Mike dislikes recommending favorites because all teachers are a mixed bag. He appreciated Spurgeon's Lectures to My Students for its strong, principled leadership content. He has not read Swedenborg or Watchman Nee in any depth. General principle: do not over-rely on any single teacher; Scripture should occupy the place scholars sometimes take.
