Sacrificial giving has the highest value to Jesus — the things that cost you the most are worth the most. When you think your service to God is at its lowest value, Jesus may see it at its highest.
The widow's mite principle: sacrifice determines value, not amount
Jesus saw the widow's two copper coins as "more than all the contributors" because she gave from her poverty while they gave from surplus. Application: service to God that costs you the most has the most value. Reading the Bible when you're dyslexic and it takes 30 minutes for 5 verses may be more valuable than easy reading. Sharing the gospel with a family member when it terrifies you has special value. Worshiping God when it's the hardest thing in the world has a "special value in the eyes of God." This principle is the opposite of worldly measurement, which values impressive visible results.
