Of 15 lexicons surveyed: only 3 mention 'source' as a possible meaning. Of those 3: none assign 'source' to any NT passage; 2 of 3 don't offer any NT-specific meanings at all; 2 of 3 only take 'source' as a literal meaning for rivers (not metaphorical); the one that references NT (TDNT) still sees authority/leadership implied. The LSJ is the only one that could support the egalitarian view, and it is limited in scope for NT studies.
