Keener redefines 'submit' to mean self-sacrificial service

Keener argues Paul placed submission 'in the context of mutual submission' and thus 'defines it quite differently than most of his culture did.' Radical husband love becomes the husband's form of submission. Mike argues: Jesus serves us but does not submit to us. He uses his authority to serve but doesn't give up authority. Radical love does not equal submission.
