Keener on verb borrowing: verse 22 borrows 'submit' from verse 21

Have We Misunderstood "Wives Submit"? Women in Ministry part 9 02:13:43 – 02:15:14

Mike examines a grammatical argument about the Greek text.

Keener notes that the Greek of verse 22 doesn't have the word 'submit' -- it must be borrowed from verse 21 ('submitting to one another'). He concludes: 'it's perfectly legitimate to read verse 22 as wives submit to your husbands as long as we understand that we must take verse 22 as an example of verse 21's mutual submission.' Mike agrees verse 21 is the launching pad for the three groups, but denies this means equal submission in all directions.
