Introduction to the slavery objection

The slavery objection is a two-step argument from Craig Keener (chapter 6 of Paul, Women and Wives): Step 1 -- establish that your view of marriage is interconnected with your view of slavery (if wifely submission is transcultural, so is slavery). Step 2 -- establish that neither is binding in all cultures. The conclusion: since slavery isn't binding, neither is wifely submission.
