Aristotle quote: 'the free man rules over the slave after another manner from that in which the man rules over the female'
Mike finds a decisive Aristotle quote that refutes the slavery-marriage parallel.
Aristotle explicitly states the three relationships are governed DIFFERENTLY: 'the free man rules over the slave after another manner from that in which the man rules over the female, or the man over the child.' The woman has deliberative faculties 'but without authority'; the child has them but 'immature'; the slave 'has no deliberative faculty at all.' Keener's only ancient source actually refutes his point.
