Final distinction on the priesthood
Everything else about women's roles in the OT seems example-based. The priesthood restriction is clearly by God's design — women couldn't be priests even though female priests existed in other religions. This is very consistent with the complementarian view that the highest spiritual office of authority is reserved for men.
