Evidence that headship is transcultural: creation order, Ephesians 5, and the danger of cultural relativism

Paul connects headship to God's created order in verses 8-9 (transcultural). Ephesians 5:22-24 makes the same headship argument tied to Christ/church relationship (transcultural). Nobody considers husband loving wife self-sacrificially as cultural, yet it's in the same passage. Mike warns: assigning things to culture without evidence is really reading one's own culture against Scripture. 'If it's not my culture, it must be cultural' is a dangerous hermeneutical principle that opens the door to dismissing teachings on gender, sexual immorality, homosexuality, and transgenderism.
