Glory as honor connects the entire passage: headship chain produces honor chain
Mike shows how the honor interpretation unifies the passage.
God is the head of Christ -- Christ glorifies the Father by following His lead (John's Gospel). Christ is the head of every man -- man glorifies Christ by following Christ's leadership. Man is the head of wife -- wife glorifies husband by following his leadership. This is not diminishment: Christ submitting to the Father doesn't diminish Christ. Head coverings celebrate these roles as wonderful, not grudgingly accepted.
