Anthony Thiselton's summary of the manuscript evidence
Mike quotes scholar Anthony Thiselton summarizing which manuscripts have the verses in which location.
Thiselton identifies that the Western manuscripts D, F, G, manuscript 88, and the 4th-century Ambrosiaster displace verses 34-35 to after verse 40. However, the very early P46 (circa 200 AD), along with manuscripts Aleph, B, 33, 88 (in a different reading), the Vulgate, Old Syriac, and most other manuscripts have the verses in the traditional location. The evidence is extremely imbalanced in favor of the traditional placement.
