I posted on Worthy Boards because I was asked to explain the importance of a second witness with regards to the women’s issue. For me it is a challenge in learning more about how to witness to my fellow Christians in a Christ-like way and to understand where they are coming from. Understanding the arguments against my position is very important to me so that I can be prepared to deal with those who will listen in the future to the egalitarian position but who first want all their hard questions answered. I also know that my work on the board is most likely fruitless with those who are “hard-core” complementarians but maybe there are lurkers who will read and be touched by a “breath of fresh air” on the subject.
