I realize this is pretty late, but I found this conversation while doing a bit of research on Biblical views of womanhood: http://www.desiringgod.org/media/pdf/books_bwtd/bwtd.pdf. After reading through it, it seems that some of the comments here misrepresent Piper’s position; I’d encourage you to read through it just to make sure you understand where he’s coming from. Like he says near the beginning, “I would simply plead for the application of that great principle of good criticism: Before assessing an author’s position, express an understanding of it in a way the author would approve.”

I appreciate your sincerity in seeking God’s will, and may God give us increasing insight into how best to glorify Him.
