Paul never addresses the specific content he allegedly refutes

Mike highlights that if Paul is refuting verses 34-35, he never actually addresses any of the specific claims.

If Paul is refuting the Corinthians' quote, he never: addresses why women are permitted to speak, explains what's wrong with requiring submission, addresses the law reference, explains whether women should ask husbands at home, or addresses whether it is shameful for women to speak. He just says 'What!' -- one word as the entire rebuttal, followed by a rebuke about them acting on their own authority. This is completely unlike Paul's refutation style elsewhere.
