Walter Kaiser's argument from Thayer's lexicon and D.A. Carson's correction

Mike examines Walter Kaiser's 1986 Christianity Today article supporting the refutation view.

Kaiser quoted Thayer's Greek lexicon to show the disjunctive particle appears 'before a sentence contrary to the one preceding it,' seeming to support the refutation view. However, D.A. Carson showed Kaiser only partly quoted Thayer. The full quote says the particle appears 'before a sentence contrary to the one just preceding it, to indicate that if one be denied or refuted the other must stand.' This means the particle introduces a logical alternative that reinforces the previous argument, not contradicts it.
