Women theologians writing books men read — permissible; Priscilla as precedent

Everything Women Can and Can't Do According to the Bible: Women in Ministry part 13 03:07:47 – 03:10:23

Mike addresses whether women can write theology books for mixed audiences.

Uses Priscilla (Acts 18:26) as precedent — an unofficial, non-elder teaching moment. Priscilla's name listed first possibly because she was more prominent in the discussion. This shows women can correct men's theology outside the elder function. Authors are not like elders — the only consideration is don't write in a way that mimics the elder role in a person's life. A book is not a church, not a proclamation backed by a church, not an official position. Mike himself has learned from female commentators and recommended their books.
