Schreiner's point 4: Adam exercised leadership by naming Eve -- first as 'woman' (isha) in Genesis 2:23, then as 'Eve' in Genesis 3:20.

Complementarian argument #4: naming as authority

Schreiner argues Adam naming Eve demonstrates leadership authority. This happens twice: first classifying her as 'woman' (isha) in Gen 2:23 ('she shall be called woman because she was taken out of man/ish'), and then giving her the personal name 'Eve' in Gen 3:20 ('because she was the mother of all living'). This parallels his naming of the animals.
