NT Wright's egalitarian argument: women as apostles to the apostles

Women Leaders in the New Testament: Women in Ministry part 4 00:00:37 – 00:01:38

Mike plays a clip from NT Wright presenting the egalitarian case for women leaders.

Wright argues that Mary Magdalene and others were the first to see the risen Jesus and first to be told to tell others, making them 'apostles to the apostles.' He claims this is of 'incalculable significance' and that Paul calls a woman named Junia an apostle in Romans 16. Wright says if an apostle is a witness to the resurrection, then there were women apostles before men apostles.
