Ancient rabbinical tradition: entire Old Testament is about the Messiah
Continuing discussion of Matthew's typological use of Hosea
Mike notes this is not a uniquely Christian interpretive move. Even the Talmud and ancient non-messianic (non-Jesus-believing) rabbinical sources said that all of the Old Testament is about the Messiah. This validates reading the whole Hebrew Bible through a messianic lens as an ancient Jewish interpretive tradition, not a Christian imposition.
