Belleville claims Euodia and Syntyche were 'among the overseers and deacons at Philippi.' Mike reads the passage: Paul entreats them to agree, asks a companion to help them, and says they 'labored side by side with me in the gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers whose names are in the book of life.' They are clearly active in ministry, but Mike questions how this text proves they were overseers or deacons.
