1 Timothy 2:1-6 — God desires all people to be saved; Christ gave himself as ransom for all
Mike's central proof-text for the Father's universal salvific intention.
"God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved... for there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all" (1 Tim 2:3-6). The Father desires all people saved and Christ ransoms all people — the same "all" in both cases. Mike argues this directly supports unlimited atonement and refutes the Calvinist claim that Trinitarian harmony requires limiting the atonement.
