Mike warns that in the current charismatic climate, people readily claim to speak on God's behalf when they simply feel something strongly. He notes that non-believers who lack the Holy Spirit also feel things strongly — feeling is not a reliable indicator of divine communication. Unless you have genuine reason to believe something is from God and not yourself, you should not present it as God's word.
