Are the gods of other religions real? Three views: false polytheism, Heiserian divine council, and Pauline demonic identification

Winger presents three views: (1) WRONG VIEW — that beings with the full attributes of Zeus, Osiris, etc. actually exist. No Christian can hold this. (2) DR. MICHAEL HEISER'S VIEW — there exist lower-case-g elohim, spiritual beings of various powers ontologically different from Yahweh, who may impersonate deities like Thor or Osiris without actually being them. These are real beings but not like the pagan descriptions. (3) WINGER'S VIEW — more aligned with Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:19-20, which says pagan sacrifices are offered to demons. The beings behind false religions are simply demons seeking worship; they are called gods because people call them that, but pulling back the spiritual curtain reveals they are demonic. All three views share: Yahweh is ontologically ultimate, eternal, and capital-G God; the pagan gods as described do not exist. Winger notes Numbers 33:3-4 context: the Exodus plagues targeted specific Egyptian deities (Nile = blood, livestock killed, firstborn of Pharaoh slain).
