God physically appearing to everyone would not necessarily eliminate unbelief; unbelief is often a heart issue, not an evidence problem.

20 Questions with Pastor Mike (Episode 31) 00:32:42 – 00:38:52

Question 8 from Amanda about why God does not appear physically and audibly to eliminate all unbelief.

Mike first cautions against the why doesn't God do my solution mentality — a position of deep ignorance. Substantively: (1) Jesus performed many miracles and unbelief persisted; (2) in John 5, Jesus attributes contemporary unbelief to a heart issue — they would not believe Moses so they will not believe Jesus; (3) John 1: people loved the dark; (4) Matt Dillahunty cited as someone who said he would reject God even if he knew it were true. Romans 1 indicates God's existence is already obvious; heart hardness is the real obstacle. The Holy Spirit convicting of sin and righteousness is often more determinative than evidence. Correct perspective: humanity owes God, not the reverse.

No man left behind: Jesus died for all

Did Jesus’ death leave no man left behind that was not covered by His death on the cross? For many Christians who identify as Calvinists, the gospel includes the conclusion that Jesus died only for a select group of people who were predetermined by God before the world was created.
