God chose to redeem through the cross to display his love, patience, righteousness, and desire for relationship simultaneously.

The cross communicates multiple divine attributes at once: (1) God's love — John 3:16; (2) God's righteousness — the penalty for sin is paid; (3) God's longsuffering and patience — commitment to humanity over time; (4) God's desire for relationship — God became man not just to forgive but to be joined to us. The cross is evidence of God's love when personal doubt arises. It also displays God's glory because his glory encompasses all his attributes: love, wrath, righteousness, holiness, kindness, patience.
