Faith for miracles is different from saving faith — it's initiated by God (a spiritual gift), not fabricated by the believer. Jesus had a responsive ministry to the Father, not initiatory. You respond to what the Spirit reveals.

Theological framework: miracle-faith as God-initiated response, not self-generated belief

Key thesis: you don't have to make yourself believe things. Jesus had a responsive ministry — "The Son can do nothing of himself unless it is something he sees the Father doing" (John 5:19); "I did not speak on my own initiative" (John 12:49). John 15:7 conditions answered prayer on "abiding in me" — because when you abide in Christ, the things you believe God will do come from HIS revelation, not your fabrication. Romans 12:3-6: God allots different measures of faith; prophecy operates "according to the proportion of faith" — a gift from God, not self-generated. 1 Corinthians 12:8-11: faith, healings, miracles are spiritual gifts distributed "as HE wills." Acts 14:8-10: Paul didn't heal the lame man until he "saw that he had faith to be made well" — a spiritual perception, not natural observation. James 5:15 promises healing through "prayer offered in faith," but James 4:15 rebukes presuming to know God's will without submitting to it. 1 John 5:14: "If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us." Personal testimony: Winger has experienced the Spirit revealing God's intent to heal specific people, and it's been "reliably accurate" — but this was initiated by God, not fabricated.
