Pierce and Groothuis strangely ignore Ephesians 5:22-24, which explicitly links headship with submission
Mike points out that egalitarian authors skip the most relevant passage.
Pierce and Groothuis, in listing Paul's uses of kephale in a head-body metaphor, ignore Ephesians 5:22-24, which says 'wives submit to your own husbands as to the Lord, for the husband is the head of the wife as also Christ is the head of the church.' Mike finds this omission inexplicable since this passage explicitly connects headship with submission and authority. He notes the egalitarian rescue is 'mutual submission' from verse 21, which he plans to address in the next video.
