1 Peter 3:1-7 instructs wives to 'be subject' (hypotasso) to their own husbands. Mike notes this Greek word 'definitely means being in submission to' someone with higher authority. He dismisses claims that the ESV translation biases the reading, noting all major translations render it the same way.
