Lynn Kohick's egalitarian view of Colossians 3:18-19: no talk of husband's authority
Mike examines an egalitarian scholar's treatment of the Colossians passage.
Lynn Kohick argues there is 'no talk about the husband's authority or a female's inferior ontological status' in Colossians 3:18-19. Mike responds that the words 'submit' and 'don't be harsh' both imply authority even without using the word 'authority' explicitly. Every person in the first century reading hypotasso would have understood it to mean the husband had a higher degree of authority.
